Brainspotting “Tune-Ups”
What is a “tune-up”
Many people, after achieving their goals, may encounter moments when challenges or obstacles arise. A “tune-up” is essentially a single, short-term session that focuses on addressing and clearing these emerging issues (~50 mins per session).
Some individuals may have successfully processed most of their trauma but may suddenly experience a period where they require assistance in clearing the lingering residual symptoms. “Tune-ups” are suitable for those who don’t need to resume weekly or bi-weekly therapy but need a space to address and process the residual experiences that are resurfacing.
Other usages:
Trauma therapists and wellness healers who work with trauma and dysregulated nervous systems might not benefit from traditional therapy but require space to process “limbic-countertransference.” This process can help them remain effective trauma and nervous system professionals while also reducing symptoms that arise during or after sessions.
