Informed Modalities
What is an “informed” modality?
An informed modality or intervention says that I have received training on this but do not specialize in that specific standard of interventions.
What is the difference between comprehensive and informed?
Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has its own structured and formalized approach. It includes weekly individual therapy, weekly skills class attendance, weekly DBT consultation team meetings, and skills coaching.
However, due to my business structure and financial and time constraints, I am unable to provide this comprehensive approach. Nevertheless, I have referrals for individuals interested in a fully comprehensive DBT program.
What informed modalities do you use?
I employ a diverse range of informed modalities. Throughout my training, I’ve been trained in various aspects and dissociated ego-state interventions, including those for individuals with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Additionally, I have some training in somatic experiencing, neuroaffirming practices, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Radically Open-Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT).
However, the majority of my time and resources have been dedicated to providing Brainspotting, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Ego-States (parts work) for individuals experiencing a wide range of trauma and stress-related symptoms.
